Have just been reading discussion on Enorma runner beans and one of the replies has prompted me to ask this question.

Whilst chatting to one of my fellow allotment holders the other day, he happenend to mention that he no longer grows red runner bean varieties on the allotment as they are attractive to pigeons. We get loads of pigeons there which are feral ones they come from the town centre and they will eat the flowers thus resulting in smaller crops of RB. I am new to this allotment site so I am intrigued to know if any other folks have had similar probs and if this is the case perhaps could be reason for low harvest of RB's

    Any ideas on this?
