Last year I grew what I thought would be smallish sweetheart cabbages but of course they practically took over my not very large veggie bed. I am keen to try again this year as the taste is wonderful but need a variety that is a little smaller! Has anyone any suggestions and if so, where I might buy the seeds?
Primo is quite small.
Yes, good results with Primo here. Remember to transplant them down to the lowest leaves (ie don't leave a lot of bare stalk above the soil) and firm them in very well as this will help to produce good hearts.
Cheers -- Bob
We plant ours close together if we want them small. Also we stagger the planting, every few weeks, so we can keep on top of them and can cut them before they get too big
Primo is quite small. Thanks all for your swift replies!! Will certainly give Primo a go and also the tip about planting right down.
