Hi Everyone,
I usually move some of my old muck heap onto a new piece of ground for my veg plot and dig it in,will the plants grow if I just plant them in the muck heap it is
6 years old and looks like black soil. Will it be too rich,I usually grow all salad stuff, courgettes, strawberries, onions, cabbages broad beans etc
Thanks
I have done this with pumpkins and cucumbers and they were fine.

thank you,
Courgettes and squashes will love it! Sweetcorn and runner beans also I'd say. I'd have a go with Strawberries too.
It might be worth scraping off the top to spread out and using the actual soil underneath to grow the courgettes etc. The soil will be very rich after all the goodness soaking into it. Spread the love about a bit
