    Hi Chris

I, like you, have just built my first greenhouse (February) and am truly loving it and wishing I had done so 20 years ago.

So far, I have lettuce (tom thumb & lattuga rossa), sprouting brocolli which is nearly ready to harden off and plant out, garlic, all year round cauliflower, cabbage, basil, parsley, mint (a packet of sprigs bought from supermkt and potted up) and I am about to pot up some runner bean seeds (the slugs get them in the garden if I sow them direct) and various annual flower seeds (marigolds, cineraria, asters, calenula). I bought some tiny mixed geranium plugs for £1.99 which I have potted up and which are coming along nicely. I also potted up some strawberries which were leftovers from transplants I did last year - they are now coming along great in my unheated GH for an early summer crop. I also re-potted some succulents and cacti which had outgrown their pots in the conservatory.
It's funny but you will now look at gardening - veggie, fruit and flower gardening in a new and different light. It's great to watch and nurture things that spring up from seed and to minitor their growth.

    Good luck with yours Chris

    Madeleine

I agree with Paul, weight it down well!

I went out the morning after buying my PE greenhoues to find it upside down on the lawn, the roof wondow in one neighbours garden and 6 months later I found the top shelf of staging in another neighbours garden at a BBQ. I said "oh I have shelves like that" he replied "you know, it appeared in the garden one day, I've no idea where it came from!" Oops! smiley - biggrin

I have 2 GH's from Wilkinson's and both of them are fastened to the house wall because they are soooo light they will take flight at the slightest wind, but saying that both of mine are full to bursting with all sorts of seed's, I've had mine 4 years one of which stops up all year as I put my tomato plants in but this year I'm having a go at peppers so both of them will stay up, so they are well worth it, I think you are somewhere near me Chris if I remember, I'm in Marton on top of a hill so I do get some horrendous winds that even shift the shed sometimes. !
