I have 3 bare root bushes that I bought last October, soaked in water and planted out. I bought Raspberry, Black Current and Red Current.
The Raspberry has new green leaves and is growing. The other two have not. Is this because of the type of bush or should I do something?
I'm not entirely sure how I can help them, should I:
a) Leave them until summer to see how they progress?
b) dig them up and move them?
Because they still appear to be dormant, is there a chance they will die or are already dead?
They are in a half sunny position, planted in compost mixed with added nutrients. They are in one line together so they seem to have enough water. The two that are growing and spaced at almost opposite ends of the line.
Some advice would be great
My raspberries have leaves, my red currents are only just showing the very first signs of stirring. Give the currents time.
Hi Mike,
My Raspberry is growing nicely with green leaves but my Black current is still in buds no leaves yet. They are both south facing and get the most sun. I live in London. It's still early days and soon they will show the leaves.
Thanks for the advice people.
My raspberry and black currents are now showing signs of growth. Just needed time.
My red currents are still dormant, but I will just wait
