I was given a packet of onion sets a few months ago and put them away til i was ready to plant them out. I found them today and they are well and truly sprouting in the packet. I am intending to plant them this week some time, but will their growth and productivity be affected?
I don't think it will make that much of a difference...some of them may blot, just try them it's a shame to waste them.
Whatsthemarrow...
Cover them with mesh - after planting, the birds have a habit of pulling them up. As they have sprouted they will be soft so don't just push them into the ground, dig a small hole. Cheers, Tony.
