I am wondering if anyone can reccomend somewhere to buy 7ft or 8ft garden canes. Diy stores seem to be quite expensive and i dont have transport so ordering online seems to be my best option thanks
I'd be very surprised if you local garden centre doesnt stock them. Expect to pay about 50p each for decent weight 8ft canes. They may even deliver them for you...for a small fee.
I get alot of my canes from Morrisons when they stock them (around now) but I don't think they do them that tall. I've got my tall canes from Wilkinsons in the past which are reasonably priced.
Yes, Wilkinsons or your local horticultural society - look out for their shows and plant sales when you can often pick up canes and other accessories.

You could always check out your local allotments to see whether they have an allotment shop that stocks them. Would probably mean joining their Association, but that should only cost a couple of quid.
If you need to buy them online, then you can get just about everything from Amazon.
But you have to buy a pack of 50, for £25 (for 8' canes).
If that's too many, you can, of course, easily cut the 8' canes into two, and get lots of very useful 4' canes from them.
In a former year there was a thread about a general shortage of 4' canes, and people were suggesting buying 8' canes, and cutting them into two.
Do as I have done, buy a bamboo plant and wait a bit ! Cheers, Tony.
Thanks for the help people. I managed to find some at a store near me id completely forgotten about at £3 for 10 so worked out well. Tricky thing carrying 30 canes a mile home but keeps you fit i suppose.
