I've bought some courgette seeds - variety Parador - they are yellow and as you can't generally buy yellow courgettes in the shops, I thought I'd have a go growing them.
Has anyone else grown these and if so do you have any advice?
I intend growing them in big pots in the front garden, it gets a lot of sun which I thought they would like. I'm in Herts.
cheers
Teresa
Hi Teresa
I've never grown yellow courgettes but my experience of the green variety is that they need lots of water and feeding - I think if grown in pots this would be even more important. Hope you're successful and have good crop.
Treat yellow courgettes exactly as you would green.
Thanks to Calendula and Daffs4Feb for replies - with lots of care, here's hoping for a good crop!
Cheers.
I've grown both a small point perhaps is I think I read somewhere and think it's true some varieties of yellow courgettes are better picked slight smaller than the green kind.
