Hello everyone. Today I bought some healthy looking broad bean plants from my local WI stall on the market. However when I came to plant them out I noticed that the beans from which the plants have sprouted had a white fungus looking coating on. Is this OK? I planted them up anyway and hope for the best. I would be grateful for any thoughts on this.
They'd probably been kept too damp. I've had it happen sometimes with my pea and bean seedlings. I've wiped off the mould and planted anyway without any problems.
Thanks for replying italophile, I did wipe the white off before planting up and have more hope now that they will do alright.
