Having lost all my cabbages and sprouts to catterpillars last year I want to net them in but can anyone tell me how tall the net needs to be if I want to plant sprouts? Flower seeds always tell you the expected hight but not veg seeds.
Depending upon variety they will grow from 18" - 36" tall
Try and get a fine mesh netting and ensure there are no leaves touching the netting. I've seen cabbage whites practically tearing their wings off trying to get through netting ! Cheers, Tony.Cheers, Tony.
