I've never had this happen before, I always autumn plant into large pots.
All the others are fine but one has produced loads of shoots. Should I just pull it up & give up on it or am I likely to get decent size single cloves from each shoot?
If it's not going to be any good I could use the pot space.
Also why's it happened, it could have got a bit dry is that likely to be why?
I've had it happen a couple of times. The only reason I can think of is that the planted clove might have been some sort of double - a clove within a clove, so to speak. Didn't ever affect the end result for me.
Ah, so it still formed one big bulb did it?
It's got an awful lot of stems, but I'll leave it if yours still grew. Thanks.
