Hello, I'am growing spuds, brassicas, carrots, onions, leeks, sweetcorn and beetroot. I was wondering what it the best type of feed to give them if any is required. Last year I used miracle grow.
many thanks

Our local Poundstretcher is doing tom, veg, flower, liquid and powder foods of various descriptions in bottles and boxes each for £1. They may not be as strong as Mirclegrow but at a £1 each you can at least feed more and all the different ones as appropriate for each thing you are growing. Maybe worth a little look if you have a local store.
Chicken muck pellets and / or Blood, fish and bonemeal. everytime. Cheers, Tony.
Agree with Tony
Plus some homemade compost !
PJ
lots and lots of old poo
give the lion's share to the spuds

The best crops I have ever had were when a poultry farmer delivered a load of muck & tipped it on the veg patch. I spread it all over, but where it had been tipped the peas died, it was to strong. He didn't bring me any more, probably because I gave him a £ for the first load.
