I've bought just the one plant to give this a go, can anyone tell me how vigorous the plant is?
I was thinking about planting it in one of my raised beds & training it along a picket fence, the fence is about 30 inches High & about 8ft long
I grow them and usually plant them up a wigwam of 6' canes - they usually reach the top !
Remember do not plant out until all danger of frost is over for your area, usually mid may to early June.
Many thanks
It won't be planted out for a good couple of weeks yet,
By then it have reached triffid size!

Never heard about it before. A quick google indicates it is an old variety rather than a swanky F1. Is it easy to grow. I am growing moneymaker which I tried last year (someone at work sold her excess plants to us). How does it taste? The monemaker taste more like the ones you get in Spain than the ones you get in the supermarkets here.
I was given one of the fruits 4/5yrs ago by my then neighbour who I think grew them on his allotment, he said he prefered them to ordinary cucumbers for two reasons, they tasted better & because he lived on his own they were just the right size for one portion, I can't really remember much about it except it was really jiucy & about the size of an apple, back then I think they were called Crystal Apple cucumbers
