I am hoping to start domestic production of coffee beans, I know the U.K. does not have the perfect climate for such a venture so I could use some tips to aid success.
Any ideas
Move to sunnier climes.
Did you hear Bob Flowerdew on Gardeners Question Time talking about this.
He said the beans made the vilest cup of coffee he's ever drunk (or not drunk). but I understand the plant is quite pretty.

Did he roast them? Green coffee beans don't really taste of anything, the flavour comes after roasting which is supposed to be quite a science.
If you have a conservatory you should be able to grow coffee here. Although not sure how many plants it takes to get a decent harvest....
