I have grown tomato and courgette plants from seed indoors. They have been outside but in one of those weeny shelves with a plastic cover and are getting very leggy. Is it too early to pot them outside? I am in Surrey.
Just my opinion but it`s a little early. We are forecast a frost in some parts tonight and it might not be the last one. If they are getting leggy then they are not getting enought light I suspect. You could try them on a windowsill with some tin foil behind them to gain some light.

Depending how old they are I'd leave them outside to get as much sun/light as they can get. Doesn't matter if it's a bit cool. They'll cope with that, it's the light that's important.
You could also repot the tomatoes, taking off the lower leaves, burying them down to the top leaves.
