It would be appreciated if anyone could give me the definitive way of measuring pots i.e Depth, Diameter or Circumference, as apposed to quantity held.
Thanking you in anticipation Snezzy
Hi Snezzy,
When it says a 10 inch pot, it means 10 inches diameter. Most plant pots are as deep as they are wide.

Thanks Bob for your prompt response to my query - sorry to be so thick
Snezzy
Hi Snezzy,
Just a small point ref pots, and its the ridge inside the top of the pot's,
you only fill up to this ridge and no higher as the ridge is the amount of water you water into the pot, and then it sinks down to the roots etc.
So if you want to give the pot the correct amount of water at any one watering?
You use the ridge as the guide.
Thanks Punpun tried out Bobs measurements ie diameter = depth of pot, but this does not appear to work on pots here in France, thanks for the tips re watering. Snezzy
