Morning all,
Quick qoestion reguarding the above, is it to late to start them now?
Thanks in advance
Andy
No it's not TOO late, but get a shift on. I brought back a handfull (free) from Greece and thinking only a few would grow, I planted the lot. 100% germination now I've got to find somewhere to plant 'em ! Cheers, Tony.
if they are a true water melon they will need this weather to continue all summer or you are in for disappointmnet
I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had success with them in the UK. I assume you need a heated greenhouse. I grown the charentaise type in a cold frame. A lot of work for few small melons; tasty though and you can impress you friends!
Hmmm,
thanks all, the variety is Sugar Baby.Never tried them before and by the sound of the last post, maybe not worth the effort?
