I garden in Edinburgh the forecast is for lows of 4 degrees Thursday and Friday night.I'd better put some fleece over the sulkers; the courgettes and sweet corn. Could still be a frost in some districts.Where is the summer? On the plus side had a very useful thunderstorm this evening.

We had frost forcast in the last few days, and temperatures are staying low here in Oxfordshire too. I've run to the allotment to cover the most tender plants, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest.
It's been a challenging beginning of the season: April warm but dry; May cold and dry; June has started wet (finally) but still cold. My cabbages are doing very well, but everything else seems a bit behind.
6 here in Havant (Hampshire) at 6 this morning.
Was in Bournemouth Friday evening - it was blooming cold more like October- drove through New Forest and there was a weird mist - felt like Dartmoor - just waiting for the Baskerville Hound to appear- funny weather we have had over past 14 days.- and I thought I lived in the balmy South
