Yesterday I noticed greenfly begining to attack a bag of spuds. They are 1st earlies and will be ready for picking in about 2 weeks time. I took off the worst affected leaves and gave the rest a spray.

If this doesn't remedy the problem could I cut off half the foilage to get rid of the greenfly without affected the spuds. I have 7 bags all close together but planted so there will be a continuous crop from July till September/October. What I don't want to happen is for the flies to migrate onto the other spuds which still have someways to go before they are ready to be harvested.
