Hi,
This is my first year in growing my own fruit n veg. Just a quick question, with regards to my tomatoes.
I am growing toms, in a pot from seed. They are starting to flower, I believe you have to pick the flowers out, is this correct, if so what satge do I do this???

Do not pick the flowers out!!!!
These develop into the fruit- no flowers= no tomatoes!!
What you may be getting confused about is taking off the side shoots- if you are growing a cordon i.e. a single shoot attached to a cane you remove the side-shoots- if you are growing a bush type you don't have to remove the side-shoots.

Oh no!
Never remove any flowers from any tomato plant; otherwise you will have no tomatoes.
If they are a bush variety, you don't need to remove anything...just let them grow wild.
The cordon varieties (those trained up sticks) will need side shoots removing, these grow in the axis between the main stem and a leaf joint.
