A few weeks ago we first heard about the food poisoning problems in both Germany and the U.K,
Well it's been said on the french news that here in france the same problem has happend and that they feel the cause tobe from seeds supplied by THOMPSON & MORGAN SEED.
We're will it end.

Thomson and Morgan say it maybe in the handling and growing of the seeds-not very happy and talking about legal action.
These stories about who is to blame without any evidence do real damage-spanish cucumbers ring a bell???
Geoff
Seeds can carry pathogens so the T&M theory isn't implausible, though T&M are repackagers rather than seed producers. Any pathogens are more likely the result of problems at source.
Though given the history of blame hurling in this whole scenario - vis-Ã -vis Spanish cukes - someone is going to need to provide some hard proof.
Not sure if it's relevant, but for several weeks now I've been growing lots of T&M sprouting seeds and so far we're OK. I stopped when I heard the news, though - cowardly, I suppose
Understandable-but probably unnecessary and this what happens when you get stories without any real evidence-I hope this doesn't sound offensive- it is not meant to be.........
Geoff
Oh, definitely no offense taken! You're absolutely right, of course, and when I thought more carefully about it I realised that if we hadn't been poisoned in the last few weeks we weren't likely to be poisoned just because a rumour was being circulated
you are far less likely to be poisoned in a domestic situation than on commercial production
The water in such systems is normally recirculated and kept at about 30 degrees which is ideal for bacteria to breed
They rely upon clean seed and pure water to maintain hygiene standards
