First spuds of the year...

    Had to share this with you guy's harvested my first spuds tonight, Red Duke of York, 5lbs from one bag, ever so pleased and they are the biggest one's to date, ever so tasty.

    I've two more bags dying back but gonna leave those another week before cutting back the foilagesmiley - smiley

    Big Q now is what to do with the spent compost should I compost it or take a trip to the tip. Will the compost bin kill vine weevil I ended up with them when the compost was reused last yearsmiley - sadface

    How's everyone else getting on with their first spud harvest of the year....

    I also had my first pots today,I grew them in a coal sack with a mixture of rotted manure and earth,not lots of pots but enough.yum as well
