My courgette plants have lots of flowers and are growing well but the courgette grows to about 4/5 inches then the end not attached to the plant goes yellow and soft then mouldy,What am I doing wrong, this didnt happen last year.
The plants are in my greenhouse in big pots,I water them every day and feed them with tomorite every week.
They are not being pollinated!
If you can take them outdoors and let the bees at them this should remedy the situation.
Alternative manually pollinate them!

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I do have them outside and some are o.k. I also grow lavender and sweetpeas to attract the bees, however, I will start pollinating them and let you know how I get on.
Thanks once again.
Cheers

Sweet Peas are self-fertile. They do not attract bees. Bees cannot get into the flower for the pollen and I don't think they produce any nectar.
Hiya
Two of my courgettes grew supersize, but others are facing the same problem of rotting away. Does every baby courgette need to be manually pollinated then? My plants aren't producing as many male flowers now. How do I pollinate them all?
Help please!
PS: My tomato plants, more than 30 of them, are laden with fruit!
I am having the same problem. All my courgettes are male - first time I have complained about having too many males around! They are just growing huge flowers then falling off. Nothing to pollinate them with if no females and they are outside but aren't being pollinated by bees, obviously.
