We've just lifted our early potatos & have bought & planted some winter cabbage but nobody around us (Rotherham) has any cauliflower plants. Are we to late or just unlucky ?

Have just tried to answer this but my reply hasn't come up on the GYO page. I'll try again: apologies if this is a duplicate posting

Most of the big seed suppliers are now offering seedlings of all different kinds of winter veg, including cauliflower. Just look up companies like B.... or D.... or lots of others on the Internet. f you get your order in now you should have plenty of time to plant them

I planted some broccolli seeds about a month ago but they got gobbled up by
    pigeons or slugs.

I found some very good 8" long seed-lings in my excellent local garden shop, and bought 12for 99p x3 which I thought was very good value.

This time I have replanted them with chicken wire protection, and slug bait, in the same bed, given them plenty of water, and hope that something will come of them.

    I live in hope!

I hope yours will come to something too.
