hi everyone,my blackberry has lots of fruit on it but not as many as i had last year and i was wondering if i cut it back to much can someone help by letting me know how i cut it back. thankyou
Only cut back to the base the branches that fruited this year. The other shoots are for next year.
The preferred way to arrange a blackberry is to tie in this year's shoots to one side and the fruiting branches to the other side. Then you can cut all one side's branches off to make room to tie in next year's shoots.
hi, thanks for your info,i cut to much of last year so thankyou
