Forgive if this has been raised before but I'm concerned that this year some of my peppers' leaves have tiny holes. Other leaves are shrivelled. Can't see the culprit without a microscope. What is the pest and the solution please (and don't say either that someone is shooting them or blaming tiny hailstones!)?
I am not an expert, but I have small holes on my wallflowers and that is a flea beetle. As my crop is not a vegetable I sprayed it but there are some organic solutions if you google it.
I will not be offended if a more experienced gardener has another suggestion.

Hi. Check the underside of your leaves and you'll most likely find tiny caterpillars. Just rub them off as you come across them, they shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Thanks for that. My concern is that the little blighters will get at the fruit. Do you think a good spray with mild detergent may be of value ?Because I don't like insecticides usually and going around every leaf with The Thumb of Retribution seems something for a very slow day indeed.
