I have Autumn Bliss, grown for the first time this year. They are supposed be an "excellent flavour" but have had the first lot this week and am disappointed. They are sour and don't taste like raspberries.
Yes, they are ripe, deep red and pull off with ease.
Anyone else grow these ? Any thoughts ?

What kind of weather have you had - lots of rain and cool temperatures can make raspberries less sweet than they should be - and they should be sweet, despite what GG says.
We grow Autumn Bliss. The first year the berries were very small and sour. This year they are large and sweet so give it time.
then guess you never had real raspberries before since they are suppose to be tart.Â
What a ridiculous comment. Maybe you are confused and thought I meant redcurrants or some such.

Mixed. Am in Yorkshire. Turned cool and wet recently but I've had sweet rasps from similar conditions before. And isn't Scotland is prime a raspberry growing area ?

It's the first time I've had a named type, the write up they got in the catalogue implied they were a top variety so fingers crossed for next year then.
