I've just had the same experience the diggingdoris has had on her 'blight ' thread the reason I wanted to start a new one was to say first what shame in such a low sunshine difficult year just as I was starting at last to pick red tomatoes this happens.

I thought that one of the prerequisites for blight was warm and wet summers this has been neither and yet still I get blight, I don't get it.

This is the second time I've had blight in 4/5 years of growing tomatoes and I normally devote a third of plot to tomatoes.

What with cucumber mosaic virus ruining my courgettes, slugs, aphids sucking the life outa my beans foxes digging up plants, pests I can't think of right now....I dunno the effort put in for so little return.

Luckily I can by cheap veg from the supermarket from all over the world.....having a bad day smiley - sadface
