I have a rather old ornamental cherry tree, which despite it's age is lovely in the spring.
I would like to just cut out a few lower branches so I can weed or plant underneath it now and again without getting poked in the eye.
Can I do a very little light cutting back now or should I wait til next year?
There is conflicting advice on the net...
Thanks
