It all depends upon what I intend growing

    My dates are shown on these planners;

Alternatively; i follow the particular genus via the alphabetical index.

Even simpler I follow the information shown weekly on the drop down menus.

What part of the world do you live in then Burniegien?.... as the info on the web site is for all over the uk you just need to look and see.

As for the "answer" to your question there are so many seed types and areas that there is no way to answer it in one go....(ie)....sowing tomato seed in September is no good but Winter Onions it is.....Sowing all your Spinach seeds in one go will just mean you have to much in one go and most of it will blot....so there is no "one" answer to the Question.

Its nice to be "nice" when people answer your questions....if they bother at all that is, as the message board is full of people that need help but don't ask for being laughed at or better still people that can answer but don't becusae of replys like your's.

I don't think TeeGee has done anything to hurt anyone with posting the web address, in fact most people find it helps no end I'm sure.....not that I use it and not that I think it needs posting everytime...as I have said before.

I have used the web page myself as a point of call when looking for someones view on what I was doing.....did I use the info yes/no as I took what I wanted and did as I wanted in the end.....that is what gardening sould be about at the end of the day.

Sorry for the rant everyone but I think the Board has gone down hill and this kind of reply is only tipping the scale more.

I hope what I have taken time to say is helpfull in some way to someone.

I won't dignify 'burnieglens' notes with an answer, but I would like to thank you Dave for coming to my defence.

I can understand why you question the number of times I link to my site but there is a very simple reason for that.

When a question is asked on these boards the answer can often raise more questions, and my site has been designed with its 'related links' to hopefully answer these added questions, and as you say Dave, .....

the reader can take the advice or leave it.!

So as I see it; Burnieglen has chosen to 'leave it' so be it..............

"you can't please all of the people all of the time". Tg

Tee Gee-I am pleased that common sense has prevailed and postings have been removed,

I found them offensive to you and am annoyed that the powers that be could not have taken swifter action.

Thanks to all those who defended me.

Cody; Don't be too hard on the moderators smiley - winkeye

They may have allowed them to remain to allow me to see them first before removing them, plus to see how I reacted to them.

I'm afraid things like these go with the territory particularly when you consider 'gardening' can be a very opionated subject.

When I reply my answers are my opinion no one elses.

If and when I disagree with someones elses opinion, I at least try and see the other persons point of view before denigrating them.

After all; much of my knowledge ( and differences) has been gained by such discussions long before the introduction of the internet and chat rooms.

At least in those days it was face to face as opposed to how it is done today!

Meaning; such comments, as much as they hurt me, went against the teaching of my mentors, and that hurts even more!

After all I see my website as my legacy from me and my mentors for the benefit of the other gardeners who will follow us!

So let us forget get it and get on with the business at hand ( even if this means linking to my website) smiley - winkeye....Tg
