I have just brought two miniature apple trees
and a miniature pear tree to go in pots
but i dont know which compost to use.
Please can some one help me

I would use John Innes no.3 with a bit of multipurpose mixed in with it - just my thought- someone else may know better

Agree with Pam.
JI no 3 is used for permanent planting. I'd ensure that each year you feed the trees & try & replace the top bit of compost with fresh, also yearly.
Even so be prepared to repot after a few years. J.

I saw Jim on Beechgrove and he along with all the other good advice put a feed capsule in when he replaced the top layer of compost in the spring.
