Has anyone planted anything out yet....
I have rubarb ready for picking, not forced either.
...pea's early onwards and Mangetout, delikata - both growing instructions say sow out doors at this time. I started them off indoors and they are now outdoors all day, I've been bringing them in due to the frosts and chilly nights we've had in the NW.
At the weekend I sowed mooli and an early growing carrot variety outdoors under protection.

Nothing yet for me but I live in the North East of England which takes time to get warmed up each year!
I have big plans for this weekend though as I have a couple of cloches I can use and loads of leek and carrot seedlings which should be almost ready.
Has anyone planted anything out yet....Â
Hang on Zoomer
I only sowed my veg yesterday and this morning, and thats earlier than normal
The tomatoes have just produced their first true leaves, and there is just signs of those on my peppers.
Yes, I have. Here in Midlothian the weather hasn't been too bad of late. I started off the onions about three weeks ago in wee cells and planted them out today, all 100 of them. Mind I only have room for those long deep troughs but I had success last year so I'm hoping again this year.
The pea's which I soaked first for 12 hours then planted up with 4 to a 5 cm pot in a cold GH are just sprouting. I do bring them in at night though.
I was thinking it a tab bit early to start sowing outdoors but having said that mooli sown last weekend has germinated under plastic. Garlic planted out in the autumn has come through the winter well but broad beans have been ravaged by slugs.
I've started oinion sets off in modules which are beginning to show shoots.
Toms, peppers and chillies along with a few other seedlings are going out to the GH everyday, they extra light has stopped them getting leggy and they are growing more leaves. Even after losing some to damping off will still have a surplus.
I sowed some broad beans on a fine day at the end of January. They stayed in the ground over the bad weather and are now coming up and about 2 inches high.
Garlic doing fine and sowed some sugar snap peas yesterday
