Anablanca Strawberrys

Earlier this year I purchased 10 Anablanca strawberry plants from a well known supplier. They grew well for a while but then I noticed that the leaves were going brown around the edges until there was only a small leaf shaped amount of green in the centre. The plants subsequently died. The supplier has refunded my money as they no longer have any supplies but did not offer an explanation as to what went wrong. Has anyone else had trouble with this strawberry? Can anyone tell me what went wrong when a different variety treated exactly the same are thriving?
