Was given about 30 flower buckets yesterday from a local shop keeper, must have a stack of 100 behind the GH, you can never have enough flower buckets smiley - biggrin Gave some to the cleaning lady at work who saves me empty toilet rolls and to the admin officer whose a keen gardener.

I'm running out of idea's for uses. I've cut the bottoms off some and buried them in the garden with bulbs planted in so I'll know where they are after the leaves have died back later in the year. Others are for the GH bed to culture plants in bottomless pots.

Last year I grew all manner of plants in them from courgettes, herbs, lillies to chillies/peppers and toms.

They've even been used to mix cement in for posts on a metal arch.

Do you think it a bit cheeky to move into the swapping market, I'm short of 9-10cm pots for repotting?

    Zoomer

If you have a freecycle in your area why not put them on there-and then you will have helped somebody and you will get a warm glow from being a good girl.

Hi, I have loads too. They are the perfect size for growing tomatoes; cucs and peppers in the greenhouse (with drainage holes cut of course). Can't believe they are free. Buckets that size would be a couple of quid at least.

Not so sure about freecycle - Once tried to give away a 6 by 8 shed making it very clear who ever wanted it had to 'dismantle and transport,' must have typed that part in Manderin Chinese. All the offers wanted it delivered...then there was the portable TV, only switched on once. They wanted it delivering to the other side of the county, 2hr round trip!

On neither occassions was I left with a warm glow, more like a Victor Mildew momentsmiley - biggrin

I'm more inclined to get a warm glow if swapped for a stack of 9cm potssmiley - smiley
