It would be helpful if Gardener's World would refer more regularly to the size of gardens they talk about.
They might consult local garden societies.
My garden is about 200 sq metres or 2,000 sq feet. In North London this passes for 'a bit bigger than usual' according to friends and visitors. But I guess it is very small compared with most gardens Monty Don talks about. Not a lot of room for 'drifts' etc.

This has been done a hundred times on the TV board.
Surely you need to use your imagination, because not all the info on that particular programme can be applied to YOUR garden.
How about doing a smaller "drift" etc

For parts of London that is a good size, I use to have one about 40 square metres. My garden now both front and back are massive in comparison. Make your garden yours.
I'm always surprised over what they class as a small garden. Mine would even make a borrower frown at mine if I applied their scales.
