I still have tadpoles. Does anyone know if they will still turn into frogs or is it too late now?
Yes, it's a bit late, depending on the temperatures you had this past spring. But it still might happen. Also, could you possibly have newts rather than frogs? The young adults look very much like tadpoles
It is relatively uncommon but sometimes tadpoles do not change into frogs in the first year. They survive the winter as tadpoles.
Newt tadpoles are in fact very much like the adult but obviously much smaller. They also may still have the external gills. It is virtually impossible to confuse them with frog or toad tadpoles.
