    Hi all,
Well after a long talk with the boss (the wife) ive decided enough is enough and inspite of not saying goodbye a short time ago, ive decided to spend my time just gardening in my garden and to hell with trying to pass on years of experience to anyone, It's time to go.

The reason im hanging up the spade so to speak is because of this stupid way that threads are removed for no reason by those who decided to complain about nothing.

As long as anyone complaining is'nt required to show who they are this practice will continue, So as always the victim pays the price and the trouble makers are given the shelter of outdated rules and not one member of the admin is available to talk to ref this un fair way of being a victim, It's all one sided.

But ive made a few good friends here on this forum "but they dont seem to bother to come on the threads now, (WONDER WHY,)
But they know who they are and to them "thanks for being there"

good luck to all for future gardening,
    Regards punpun

I'm sorry you've decided to go your own way being tired of the complainers on here, as I've generally enjoyed reading your interesting contributions. Probably the worst examples of what grates with you must be in the 'TV and Radio' section where the hatchet faced miseries try each week to spew out their venom about my favourite programme and presenter. In their eyes, the poor man can seem to do right. I wish you luck in the future but I feel you may return. I also have kept away a number of times utterly fed up with the unpleasant bile on here but the Garden Clinic and Garden Inspiration sections restores my faith in mankind. Cheerio PunPun.

farewell punpun, I'm really sorry - but understand the reason - that you've taken the decision to remove yourself from the boards.
I hope that each and every one of the unkind and spiteful amongst you are satisfied.

Paul, I agree about the TV board moaners - it's so predictable
I was going to reply to them, but life is too short
Pun pun - rise above it

    I appreciate your views.

But is knuckling under to miserable moaners really the answer?

If you have a post that is modded, you usually have a clue as to the reason, even if no-one else has had the decency to say why. And don't take criticism personally.

I'm sorry, but my own view is 2-fingers to the miserable moaners.

And there really isn't any need to walk off in a strop, and join them. You don't need to.

Not been on here long enough to comment. However a seemingly innocuous post of mine was deleted but was returned. Sorry punpun, short and sweet eh? Paths appearing all over the place at chez nous - many thanks and maybe we will bump into one another at some point, Intermarche perhaps? Happy gardening.

I have to say that having also had a post removed yesterday, for no apparent reason, it does make one wary of posting anything again. I have had no e-mail as to why it was removed and do know the contents of another post, also removed, contained nothing untoward.

Either someone thinks they are being clever, but we will never know who, or we possibly have new moderators who are seeing something that isn't there.

Do I remember that there are no mods on at the weekend?
I would avoid all final decisions until they are back
You should have an email explaining if the post has actually been looked at by a mod

punpun, sorry to see that you have made this decision but I understand. i tend not to post much on here these days as I find some of the poster quite disrespectful and rude and so I sometimes just read certain items that I might find interesting.
I have moved onto another site and find the posters on there very helpful and friendly and I'm having a laugh again with like minded gardeners, which is why I joined this forum to begin with, but somehow its turned into some of the posters personal 'gang'.

So long punpun, see you over on the other forum where Chris Breadshaw was a founding member smiley - whistlesmiley - whistlesmiley - whistle

I've no idea whether punpun will ever log back into these pages but if he does, I' like him to know that I'll miss his contributions. He was always ready with advice solicited or not, and he did reply to questions. His posts must have taken quite a while to tap out so his effort has always been significant, not to mention his "innovative" english punctuation and spelling.........., (cue chuckling smiley).

I cant say that I always agreed with what he said but no-one could doubt his enthusiasm or generosity in wishing to share his experience.

Sad that he has been bullied off this chat line, maybe we'll see him back one day; I hope so. L

PS did we ever learn why his posts were suppresed, or will it forever remain a mystery?

    Hi Punpun
I am sorry that you are leaving and that you have had some unpleasant experiences. I have not contributed much but when I have you have responded so positively. I shall miss your postings and hope you will return, I am sure you will continue to enjoy your gardening.

I thought long and hard before adding my contribution. But that's because - well, I don't bother to contribute much these days.

The joy, spontaneity and fun of the board was lost a long time ago. However, I do pop on regularly, and read contributions, occasionally feeling moved to add my two penn'orth.

Punpun, you have added a lot to the board, Perhaps a slightly lower profile rather than an absence in toto would be a good idea? Who knows, one day, the heavy-handed policing of this board will be - um, errrr what's the word I'm looking for - moderated?? (pun intended smiley - winkeye)

    Yours in hope

    Dear punpun

It is a few days since I last looked at this board and I was so sorry to see your message. You have given out some wonderful pieces of advice and written some really amusing stories to the point where I was eagerly seeking out any punpun contributions to see what was new from you.

I hope you change your mind but if not may I say many thanks for your lively and humourous contributions which, in a lot of cases, must have taken you a while to compose and I wish you all the best in your garden and with "boarding" in the future. You will be greatly missed by many here I know
