I have a sunny bank that I would like to sow with a wild flower mix, but if it rains hard all the seed would be washed away. Can anyone tell me what kind of mesh is available to stop this happening and where would I purchase it, please?

Is your sunny bank plain soil or is there some growthg there already? Is it at a steep or shallow angle? If the latter then the seeds will lodge in there against existing stems / leaves.
If the former, I would see about some turfs to cover first. Cheers, Tony.

Instead of buying mesh why not sow the seed on module trays and then plant as plug plants.
Use a seed compost mixed with sand and grit as wild flowers do not like rich soil, you will also see what you have sown and be able to place them better, they will then spread themselves over a period of time.
Do not expect a wild life bank the first year it takes time.
Frank.
