A woman in Germany woke up to a strange noise.
She looked out of the window and discovered this in her front garden...

When we were younger, we once woke up to find 5 cows in the garden.
They`d come over a broken wall from the adjoining field. It amused our young children.

    smiley - biggrin

    I thought it was amusing.

It looks to be a built up area, heavens knows, how, who ever put the sheep there, managed it unnoticed. If you are following the story pray let us know how it progresses....

    Hi Zoomer,

It does indeed look amusing, but I don't think I would find it funny if a flock of sheep ended up in my front garden.

The incident in the video took place last week or so on a relatively new housing estate in the German city of Dortmund.

Apparently the sheep had escaped from a field, possibly chased by dogs, and ended up on the estate.

According to some reports it took the police several hours to find out where they came from and who owned them.

This clip shows the lady who owns the sheep.

She said that she was very grateful that they ended up in that garden and not on a near by motorway or on the railroad.

The lady in whose garden they ended up seemed to be able to see the funny side of it, as did her two children.

The little girl said that she would love to have a pet sheep, while the little boy had managed to annoy the police by trying to spray the sheep with water from his water pistol.

And of course the German media loved the story.

No, and I wouldn't have liked to have woken up to a herd of sheep eating my garden, they look to have caused alot of damage.

A few years ago a bull escaped from a local abottoir and managed to find it's way into the antiques fair next door, added a whole new meaning to 'bull in a china shop'.
