Once upon a time there was a happy band of gardeners, that had common interests-gardening, food, bad tv and a positive outlook on life. They liked to share the good news in their lives and sympathise when things took a bad turn.
For one last day they will be resurrected.

John Terry what was he thinking?
In answer to your question-here are some suggestions-his mind was on other things
Who will win the Voice?
Will Simon ever get married?
What is for dinner?
Who will be fired from the Apprentice this week?

I disagree I think he was thinking 'can I get away with this' then 'opps I forgot the extra linesman on the goal line'. Great Game though.
The winner of the Voice will disappear like a magic trick.
Simon will never marry
Laura
Now I have to raid the fridge.
Laura-nooooooo-not the lovely Laura
With all those Simon stories in the paper last week some columnists kept talking about the clothes kept in his closet and his next girlfriend will be called Dorothy-how do they know these things?
I don't have a closet-I have a wardrobe that contains......................

Odd how these rumours circulate. One day you have ashes and white joggers in your closet, next day you are performing cremations in your garden in a white suit.
I have good news
Something has germinated or rooted?
Nasturtium update?
Lottery win?

You told me to butcher my begonias and I put the cuttings in water and they have rooted
Plus I have 3 new Castor Oil seedlings, Rita, Gail and Emily.
Nasturtiums, still at 5 although I have sown another 8, the ones indoors are desperate to go out.
I may buy a lucky ticket
Do I not get a star for getting something right?
I see there us another match tonight-how come the stand--in manager at Chelsea get all the plaudits whereas the players are the same ones that played under the last fella?
Funny old game-discuss

Footballers are sensitive artists, they need their egos stroked to play well. De Matteo is obviously better at this than AVB.
Will.i.am has been doing subliminal advertising.
Will silly name?-is this the Universal plug?
We are now in a recession-again!!-there will lots of people standing outside places on the news.

Custom made jackets contain lyrics, very subliminal.
If they said we were in boom do you think everyone would relax and start spending again?
No -it is all about percentages and could have gone either way.
It is just more depressing news that will be done to death.
I have just read that Rita's wedding does not go smoothly-Norris is not happy-take note for the upcoming nuptials-why is real life not so exciting?

Shall I wear a Hat or Fascinator for Ritas wedding?
Did you watch The Syndicate?
Did you know that 6A is the preferred seat on a plane?
Just checked my reserved seating-we are in 24 A/B-why 6A?
I shall be wearing the speedos-the clothing of choice
Have you got a fascinator-would you like fascinator?
The Syndicate-strange end-is that in the hope it can come back-it seemed to lose its way a bit-I wanted them to ride off in the sunset with the winnings.

6A close to the front, good for getting off and food, but not too close to the toilet, window seat not getting smashed by a trolley or someone dropping boiling tea on you.
Speedos up north, really, you will never return.
I am still umming and arring about headwear for sisters wedding, she wants hats, I am not really a hat person.
I liked the syndicate ending, I do not believe that all lottery winners are happy.
I have been helping people, polite but blunt.
I can see questions appearing tomorrow and people on Friday going what am I to do now.
It amazes me that if you have a toilet at the airport-why 30 minutes in is there a queue on the plane ?-have people no control? on a short flight?
I don't think I have ever been in a plane toilet-would be too concious of the person standing outside,
No meals or entertainment on short-haul now-just snacks and drinks
I would be a very happy lottery winner-
I would be the happiest lottery winner EVER! and would spread the love by paying off mortgages and treating people. My family and friends would be spolit rotten. I would of course, have to win BIG TIME.

My understanding is that some people get nervous. Have you never flown long haul?? I am quite happy with just a drink on a short haul. I never could hear the film anyway.
I have been busy, I made a chicken soup for lunch and have sautéed onions and peppers for dinner.
We will never know what happens to the latecomers, weird really.

Yvie that is the problem, when I was in my twenties £50 grand would have solved all my problems, now with such large families and their assorted problems I would need millions.
Yvie did you ever grow the Euphorbia Oblongata?
I am not a great flyer-it makes my arms hurt too much.
Can just about manage a 4 hour flight-but sleep for 3-perhaps the toilet is the safest place to be

Very good Geoff! The older I get the less keen I am on flying.
Yes kate, I would have to win some serious Euro Millions to share the way I'd like to. I have about 6 different Euphorbia in my garden, but I'd have to take a look at the lables to say if any were 'Oblongata'. I bought some Euphorbia seeds from Sarah Raven in January, which I'm yet to sow, and I can't remember what they are either. I'll let you know when I'm at home tomorrow Kate. What was your question about then, anyway?

Are you happy with your new contract?
Sweet williams- I buried a few that were leggy and they are coming through I do not expect flowers for ages?
Are Nicotianas hardy or tender?
Oh, well in that case I'll sow them in the next day or so, and let you know their progress. From what I've heard people say about Euphorbia self sowing in their gardens, I would have thought they'd be easy re germination. I've never tried to grow them before, but I'd love it if they seof sowed in my garden. I'll keep you posted.
Yve
Nicotiana-I think they are summer bedding only-well the small flowering ones anyway.
Have been watching drought/weather news-reservoirs still not full and rivers bursting banks-and of course a bloke standing on a bank-funny old world isn't it?
There just MIGHT be an end to the unsettled weather in sight-weekend a bit dodgy.

Yvie I was under the impression that they were easy too.
Apparently some Nicotianas are hardy! I am now confused again
OH did not want soup for lunch again so he ordered a pizza, it was yummy.
Still raining here and so dark, I need some light, it is too wet to go out and do recycling Why are the reservoirs not full?
This is funny from todays wants-obviously not a scout-might be slightly under-prepared !!
He needs a Lottie
Hi all
I am away camping in the Purbecks next week and I am short of some gear:
a tent ( a sturdy one as the weather forecast is horrendous); waterproof clothing incl hat, a torch, a blanket.
I would appreciate if you could help me by lending/donating the stuff.
Huge thanks in advance!
My replacement Dicentra Alba have arrived, yay!. The ones I ordered a while back where in such a state when they arrive, I had to get rid of 1 of the 3. The 3 new freebies, look in great nick. More planting, if it ever stops raining. The office windows are very old in our building and there is water coming in everywhere!

This is worrying, why go camping if you know it is going to be horrendous and I know little about camping but I thought a tent was quite useful
I saw that-it is not the same as the bedding ones
Apparently- as they keep reporting ad nauseum we need months of rain-not going to happen.
Here is another useless fact that a reporter got from his book of useless facts and kept repeating this morning-when Leveson was called to the bar Murdoch had already owned the NOTW for 2 years.
I like to share
SHORT OF SOME GEAR! What, you mean the most basics for camping?!!!! Fool.

I do not know why I assumed you worked in some plush offices in the city.
Good news about the replacements. I was disappointed that my Dicentra did not come back one year
Yvie-do you get deliveries made to your work-place or is that a message from the homestead
Water coming in always reminds me of Mini cars-or foot-baths as we used to call them.
Perhaps he thought he was going to sleep under the stars..............
The building we're in is an old listed building from the 1800's and there are lots of leaks! The atrium is currently strewn with buckets. Plush, these office are not! I'm in the Smoke today Geoff, but I get all deliveries to work now, as the crettins that work for the likes of Yodel leave stuff outside, or through parcels over our 7ft gates! Geniuses, one and all. They just can't be trusted. At least there is someone in the office to safely receive and sign for the parcels, even if i'm not in on that day.

Was this him?
yeah, I've seen that before. Although I didn't know that Fedex were as bad as Yodel! After their final delivery to us, I put a search in g..gle, 'yodel are c..p' and found loads of complaints to which I promptedly added my own. On this occasion they climbed the wooden 7ft gate, dropped the large flattish parcel onto the gravel drive, which became stuck under the electric arm mechanism of the gates! Of course, coming to the property from the other side of the solid gates, you couldn't see the problem awaiting you on the inside, and so when you used your fob to open the gates......well you can image how blue the air was when it was 'Vic' coming home to that! Boy, did they get a rocket! Useless, one and all.
Yvie
A delivery man once asked me if I would help him get the bags of compost out of his van.... I explained that I had them delivered because I couldn't lift them -( back stuff of course)
Back from my chauffeur duties-what have I missed?

They do seem to have earnt themselves a poor reputation-I think there was a feature on them on local tv recently-makes you wonder why anybody would use them-or is it a case that we only here about the bad experiences?

Money is the key, if they are undercutting all the other couriers. Plus having stuff delivered is stressful, I am waiting for a top from ebay, at what point do I complain?
How long is it since you ordered?
In the olden days it was always the case to allow 28 days for delivery-some stuff would take longer-now we expect delivery before we have ordered.
I think a lot of these firms are run on the bare minimum in a competitive market.
