Hearing the 80-strong 麻豆官网首页入口 National Orchestra of Wales at full throttle in music from Stravinsky鈥檚 ballet The Firebird or Star Wars will pin you to the back of your seat, but in pieces like Vaughan Williams鈥� exquisite The Lark Ascending or John Williams鈥� heart-breaking main theme from Schindler鈥檚 List, you鈥檒l also experience the luscious warmth and delicacy that an orchestra鈥檚 colour palette can paint.

And talking of painting 鈥� children鈥檚 author and illustrator James Mayhew (the Katie and Ella Bella Ballerina books) will be creating pictures in the moment, during the works by Britten and Stravinsky: all projected onto a big screen.
