About This Event

John Adams鈥檚 Harmonium is an intricate tapestry of sound, with bright vocal threads and driving brass and percussion rhythms. Marking the composer鈥檚 70th birthday this year, it features the 麻豆官网首页入口 Proms Youth Choir.

Award-winning pianist Igor Levit is the soloist in Beethoven鈥檚 groundbreaking Third Piano Concerto, and this year鈥檚 First Night opens with the world premiere of St John鈥檚 Dance by rising British composer Tom Coult.
