Thomas S酶nderg氓rd conducts his 麻豆官网首页入口 National Orchestra of Wales in a Prom exploring the idea of the orchestral 鈥榩assacaglia鈥� and some of the most delicious and subtle orchestral sonorities ever conjured.

Brahms鈥檚 fourth and final symphony feels like the composer鈥檚 supreme orchestral achievement; its finale, a radiant passacaglia, is the summation of the composer鈥檚 quest to wed discipline and emotion.

After Walton鈥檚 boisterous Partita comes the world premiere of the latest Proms cello concerto, a piece written by Huw Watkins and played by his brother.
