Jonathan Scott tames the mighty mechanical beast that is the Royal Albert Hall organ for this mid-morning recital that promises to show everything the 9,999-pipe instrument can do 鈥� bells and whistles included. This Prom journeys from supersized Bach and Edwin Lemare鈥檚 spectacular arrangement of Wagner鈥檚 罢补苍苍丑补虉耻蝉别谤 overture to the eccentricity of Charles Ives and the peaceful rapture of Scott鈥檚 own arrangement of Ce虂cilie Chaminade鈥檚 鈥楢utumn鈥�. Another of the organist鈥檚 own arrangements, that of Tchaikovsky鈥檚 鈥�1812鈥� Overture, will almost literally pull out all the stops, and quite possibly bring the house down.
