Tasmin Little joins the 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic for Moeran鈥檚 rarely heard Violin Concerto, and English music comes right up to date with David Horne鈥檚 Daedalus in Flight.

About this event

Moeran鈥檚 lyrical Violin Concerto meshes the composer鈥檚 English heritage with his love of the Irish landscape. The English theme continues with Elgar鈥檚 鈥楨nigma鈥� Variations 鈥� his affectionate musical portraits of friends and family 鈥� and Walton鈥檚 Hindemith Variations, another intensely personal homage and the first work in this year鈥檚 focus on the music of William Walton. British music comes right up to date with the shifting soundscapes of David Horne鈥檚 Daedalus in Flight.
