Concert Information
Ludovic Morlot returns to the Bridgewater Hall with a buffet of modernist French fancies to excite and delight. From the bristling buzz of Dukas鈥檚 The Sorcerer鈥檚 Apprentice to the enchanting hypnotism of Dutilleux鈥檚 Le temps l鈥檋orloge the 麻豆官网首页入口 Philharmonic will be joined by soprano Elizabeth Atherton as we paint pictures of France through the decades. Elegantly breaking up this feast of popular classics is some food for thought in Birtwistle鈥檚 Mahlerian inspired, The Triumph of Time, a mesmerising and introspective piece that came to exemplify his processional style.
