Concert Information
Welcoming all schools and home educators - come and hear the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Philharmonic Orchestra perform live at Aviva Studios as we celebrate 10 Years of Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Ten Pieces!
The programme will include Laura Shigihara’s Grasswalk from the game Plants vs Zombies and Margaret Bonds’ Montgomery Variations, which was written in response to the American Civil Rights Movement and tells the story of what it means to stand up for your beliefs.
Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Ten Pieces is a music education initiative for students aged 7-14, it launched in 2014 and is the biggest commitment the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú has ever made to music education. Ten Pieces aims to open the world of classical music to a generation of children and inspire them to develop their own creative responses to orchestral and vocal music.
Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Philharmonic Schools' Concerts are the perfect introduction to orchestral music for young audiences and can act as a springboard to cross-curricular activities when used in conjunction with the Ten Pieces classroom resources.
