Trombonist and 麻豆官网首页入口 New Generation Artist Peter Moore joins the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Orchestra and French contemporary music expert Franck Ollu to perform Henri Tomasi鈥檚 virtuosic Trombone Concerto at the 麻豆官网首页入口 Maida Vale Studios.

Evoking everything from street music to grandiose dance rhythms and alluring sounds of French impressionism, the concerto is followed by Roland Manuel鈥檚 arrangement of Eric Satie鈥檚 Pr茅lude to Le Fils des 茅toiles and Hindemith鈥檚 Die Harmonie der Welt (The Harmony of the World) symphony, describing the search of 17th century astronomer Johannes Kepler for universal harmony, recycling motivic material from Hindemith鈥檚 epic 1957 opera of the same name.

The 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme helps to support young musicians on the threshold of an international career to reach the next stage of their development, and brings some of the world鈥檚 most promising new talent to listeners across the UK through 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3 broadcasts.

This concert will be broadcast live on 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 3.
