About This Event
Our free Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Young Composer Day will bring together young composers aged 12 to 18 from across the UK. The day will include the following opportunities depending on where you feel you are in your music making journey...
- An introduction to body-percussion (all)
- An introduction to composing for beginners (beginners)
- Composing for video games (all)
- Creating jazz music (more advanced)
- Get a chance to work with & learn from leading composers & music creators (all)
There will be something for everyone, whether you’re an experienced composer or a beginner who is curious to find out more!
Participants will each receive one free ticket to attend the Proms at Battersea: Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Young Composer concert which takes place the same day at Battersea Arts Centre at 4pm. The concert features the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Concert Orchestra conducted by Alice Farnham performing works composed by the winners of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Proms Young Composer Competition.

Access Needs
We encourage participants with access needs to attend – please just let us know of any access requirements in the booking form. Please note the Battersea Arts Centre is wheelchair accessible.
