Turbulent mythical love meets poised Classical elegance in a concert from the 麻豆官网首页入口 Symphony Orchestra that sets Mozart鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 23 alongside Ravel鈥檚 sensuous ballet score Daphnis and Chloe. Launching us far beyond either Mozart鈥檚 Vienna or Ravel鈥檚 Paris, Jonathan Dove鈥檚 new orchestral work Gaia Theory explores the idea of life on our planet evolving alongside the environment.

Turbulent mythical love and poised Classical elegance come together in a concert that shifts from Jonathan Dove鈥檚 large-scale orchestral work Gaia Theory to the intimacy of the Viennese salon in Mozart鈥檚 ever-popular Piano Concerto No. 23.

Commissioned by Serge Diaghilev, Ravel鈥檚 ballet Daphnis and Chloe is rich in all the colours and rhythms of turn-of-the-century Paris 鈥� a masterpiece that announced its composer as a force with which to be reckoned.
